Terms of Service
Last updated June 4, 2026 · SpiralDeck, a product of MicroPyramid
These terms cover your use of SpiralDeck, the project-management and desktop work-tracking service from MicroPyramid. We have kept them as short and readable as we honestly can — please read them before you rely on the product.
This agreement
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you — and the organisation you represent, if any — and MicroPyramid, which operates SpiralDeck. By creating an account or using SpiralDeck, you agree to these Terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.
Who can use SpiralDeck
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding agreement. SpiralDeck is a tool for work, intended for use by teams and the people they invite. You're responsible for the activity of accounts within your workspace.
Accounts & workspaces
- Sign-in is passwordless — keep access to your email secure, since it's the key to your account.
- A workspace owner controls membership, roles and settings, and is responsible for inviting and removing members and for how the workspace is used.
- Keep your account information accurate, and tell us promptly if you believe an account or workspace has been compromised.
Acceptable use
When using SpiralDeck, you agree not to:
- break the law, or use the service to harm, harass or deceive others;
- upload malware, or content you don't have the right to use;
- attempt to access another tenant's data, bypass tenant isolation, or probe or attack the service outside our published vulnerability disclosure policy;
- reverse-engineer, resell or copy the service except where the law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
- interfere with the service's operation, including denial-of-service attempts against shared infrastructure.
Good-faith security research that follows our disclosure policy is welcome and authorised — see the disclosure page for safe-harbour terms.
The work tracker & consent
If you deploy the SpiralDeck desktop work tracker to a team, you are responsible for having the authority and the consent required to do so under the rules that apply to you and your people. SpiralDeck makes capture opt-in, visible while running, and anonymized by design, but the decision to enable it — and the duty to be transparent with your team about it — rests with you. With respect to the data your workspace captures, you are the one in control of it and we process it on your behalf.
Your content
Your content is yours. You keep all rights to the projects, tasks, documents, files and other data you put into SpiralDeck. You grant MicroPyramid only the limited licence needed to host, process, back up and display that content so we can operate the service for you, and to do so through the service providers that help us run it. You're responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.
Plans & billing
- SpiralDeck offers a free tier and paid plans priced per workspace — a flat price, not per seat.
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor. Fees are exclusive of taxes, which you're responsible for where they apply.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Except where required by law, paid fees are non-refundable.
- We'll give reasonable notice before changing prices, and changes apply to your next billing period.
Our intellectual property
SpiralDeck, including its software, design, brand and documentation, belongs to MicroPyramid and is protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant you the right to use the service, not any ownership of it. Feedback you send us, we may use freely to improve the product, with no obligation to you.
Availability & changes
SpiralDeck is actively developed and improving toward general availability. We may add, change or remove features, and we'll try to avoid disruptive changes to things you rely on. We aim for high availability but don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; a contractual uptime commitment for paid plans arrives at general availability.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, MicroPyramid disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You're responsible for keeping your own copies of anything critical, in addition to the backups we run.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MicroPyramid will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not permit us to limit.
Termination
You can stop using SpiralDeck and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms — including the acceptable-use rules — or where we must to protect the service or other users. When the agreement ends, you can export your data during the bounded window described in our Privacy Policy, after which it is deleted.
General
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. We deliberately don't impose a governing-law or exclusive-court clause on you — use SpiralDeck under the laws that already apply where you are, and we'll resolve disputes honestly and in good faith. We may update these Terms as the product evolves; when changes are material we'll update the date above and notify you before they take effect, and continued use means you accept them.
